BACK TO SCHOOL PROJECT
The Back to School Project is an ongoing program that aims to directly connect Olympians and other professional athletes to classrooms across the country utilizing technology to teach the lessons of hard work, perseverance, goal setting and healthy living. It also seeks to achieve curricular integration by providing teachers with tools to connect multiple subjects with their adopted athlete. The Project crescendos with a Live Chat from the Athlete’s Olympic Village with each adopted classroom during the Olympic Games which precedes Athlete visits to each classroom.
The Project is currently looking for a title sponsor heading into the London 2012 Summer Olympics.
For more information, listen to Michelle Lanz talk about her experience as a participating teacher in the Back To School Project. Or, check out the videos to the right for actual clips from the Back To School Project.
